Auto Interior Specialist Job in Central Square, NY

We’re looking for a full-time auto interior specialist to join our team at Powerhouse Hot Roads and Performance to help us build custom hot rod and classic car interiors on-site at our Central Square, NY shop.

We build cars people dream about. Frame-off restorations, wild customs, muscle car rebuilds, the works. The one piece we want to bring fully in-house is the interior.

That’s where you come in.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the interior on every build that rolls through the shop. That means:

Building and covering seats from the frame up
Fabricating and wrapping center consoles, door panels, and headliners
Working in leather, vinyl, suede, cloth, or whatever material the customer picks
Stitch work, pattern making, piping, inserts, the whole job
Carpet, trunk, and any soft trim
Fit and finish that matches the level of the rest of the build

If it’s inside the vehicle, it’s yours.

What We Need From You

Real experience in auto upholstery or custom interior fabrication. Hot rod and classic car work is a big plus.
You can sew, you can pattern, you can fabricate. Difficult layouts don’t scare you.
Pride in your work. We don’t ship anything that isn’t right.
Reliable. Shows up. Does the job.
Works well alongside the rest of the crew on full builds.

About the Shop

Powerhouse Hot Rods has been building custom cars and hot rods out of our Central Square shop for years. Engines, chassis, body, paint, all of it under one roof. Featured projects, repeat customers, and a reputation we’ve earned by doing the work right.

Bringing interiors in-house is the next step. We want one person who owns that part of the build start to finish.
